Note: It looks like there is a bug that is keeping the score from reflecting your actual score. Sorry for the issue, but I don't want to fix it and violate the Jam's deadline.

In Spell Slinger you play a wizard janitor of sorts... All the spells have gotten out of their spell books and you have to get them back where they belong.

There are still a lot of bugs, and there is a ton of functionality and additional mechanics we would like to add but we are running up against a tight deadline and lack of skill on our side so here is a basic mechanics demo for now.

We just started learning Unity and this is our first game. We joined the Weekly Game Jam #131 in the hopes that it would kickstart our learning and force us to finish something quickly.

Here's my video critique of the game! I hope it's helpful or fun in some regard... 😅

I look forward to your future games! Keep me posted! I'd love to see you continue with the Weekly Game Jam ❤️

This is amazing! How did you manage to make the trail of the spells curve so smoothly?

Thanks so much! As I mentioned, this was my first ever game and I had to learn a lot of the methods on the fly. Additionally I lucked into a few things.

Specifically the trails are just rendered through Trail Renderer and once I had the physics right they just played along and created the fun arcs and shapes I was looking for.

Thanks so much! I loved how clean and snappy your game was... I have a long way to go before what we make looks that polished!
